Soon, Pleasant Valley Orchard will open for the season! Our apples are ripening nicely, the last shot of rain was super helpful and hopefully we keep getting moisture as we move towards September.
As you think about your favorite fall apples, click here for a handy reference to the expected ripening schedule. Everything depends on weather and growing conditions, so these are estimates. And of course, you know that we don’t pick our apples according to the calendar. We pick them when they are at the peak of flavor!
That said, opening weekend you can expect to find First Kiss™, Zestar! apples and of course, those yummy caramel apples! And a fully stocked bakery!
You can find apples in our store 7-days a week; please note that we offer pick-your-own apples on the weekends only, select varieties, while supplies last.
Our first two weekends are normally low-key affairs as everyone adjusts to their fall schedules. We will have pick-your-own apples but our full line-up of fall activities begin with our Anniversary Weekend – September 16 & 17.
