Plan Your Fall Adventure!

By August 18, 2019Weekly Feature
There’s nothing that says fall better than a trip to the apple orchard for fresh, tree-ripened Minnesota Grown Apples. Did you know that most of the apples we grow here were developed especially for our climate? Even though Honeycrisp and SweeTango™ are grown in other states, the ones grown right here in Minnesota taste the best! And our harvest is beautiful this year.
The orchard opens for the season, Thursday September 5th. We will be open daily 10 am to 6 pm.
You can find our apples in the store during the week, and on the weekend we offer pick-your-own, on select varieties depending on the ripening season. Apples at Pleasant Valley.
For family memories, a hayride through the orchard does the trick. Add to that a walk in the woods under our big maple trees, and a full array of colors from oak, birch, wetlands and water. Picture perfect.
Selecting the just the right pumpkins is also a must in the fall!  We have pumpkins in all shapes and sizes, including heirloom varieties and colors. On weekends you can combine a hayride and pumpkin picking. How sweet is that?
While you’re planning apple picking, pumpkin selection and hayrides, you can enjoy music at the orchard on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Click here for a full line-up of special activities!
New this year, will be apple donuts! And we’ll have our brat stand going again, grilling those amazing apple brats.
These are just a sampling of fall bucket activities you can do right here at Pleasant Valley Orchard. If you’re planning a day in our area, there are many adventures to choose from. A boat ride down the St. Croix in Taylors Falls, a fall train ride through the St. Croix Valley from Osceola, a hike at one of our state parks or shopping and dining in anyone of the small towns in our area. Each one is unique and fun!
