October at the orchard means all the things you love about fall! Tree ripened Minnesota grown apples, colorful pumpkins, fall colors and hayrides!
Apple harvest is wrapping up early due to the warm temperatures pushing things along. It’s the best time of the season to visit the orchard! In the store we have First Kiss™, SweeTango™, Zestar!, Sweet16, Honeycrisp, Honeygold, Haralson, McIntosh, Cortland, Luscious and Gourmet Pears. Coming soon: SnowSweet, Fireside, Prairie Spy and Keepsake.
Pick-your-own this weekend will be on SnowSweet. They are a delicious sweet apple, very white on the inside. Lovely for eating, salads and applesauce. As a reminder we offer pick-your-own apples on Saturday and Sundays only.
This weekend, our food trailer will be open serving up those amazing slushees, donuts, hot cider, and brats. We have live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
You’ll love our hayrides to the pumpkin patch, where you can hop off and pick out your own special pumpkin. We also have a huge supply of beautiful pumpkins up at the main orchard for you to choose from.
As we turn the corner here in October, we’re looking forward to some very special activities! The 12 Days of Halloween and lots of fun for the whole family! From Spooky story time, scavenger hunts, yoga and pumpkin baking contest! You won’t want to miss hanging out at the orchard at the end of the month.
The regular season ends at 5 pm on October 31st; and November hours will begin Thursday, November 2nd when we will be open Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays 10 am to 5 pm. Not open Thanksgiving weekend. Our last weekend of the season will be November 30, December 1 & 2 from 10 am to 4 pm. Lots of end of season specials in November and December!
