Pleasant Valley Orchard’s Strawberry Season will be different in 2026.
Over the past 5 years we have experienced weather extremes on both ends of the spectrum from extreme drought to standing water in the fields. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to drastically scale back our strawberry fields. We reduced the size of our plantings and will not be offering u-pick this season.
However, there will be limited opportunities for pop-up pre-picked sales. When the berries are ripe, our staff will pick them and we will post on Facebook when berries will be available at the Appleshed. We are not able to take orders for berries and all berries will be available on a first-come; first serve basis.
We anticipate our strawberries ripening later in June.
It has been our pleasure to have you for over 20 years. We are sad to move on from one of our favorite summer traditions and we will miss you. To everything there is a season.
If pick-your-own is what your heart desires, check out the Minnesota Grown Directory for options in our region. There are some delightful patches out there.
