Fall Apple Orchard Season

Our 25th Fall Season begins Labor Day Weekend!

We are excited that 2018 marks the 25th Fall Retail Season at Pleasant Valley Orchard. We hope that you can celebrate with us this season! The 2018 Fall Season begins Labor Day Weekend, September 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Fall Hours: 10 am to 6 pm daily.

For all the tastes and colors of fall, there is no better place than an apple orchard! And Pleasant Valley Orchard offers that and more! Fresh, tree-ripened apples to delight your taste buds, hand-dipped caramel apples full of gooey goodness and beautiful pumpkins are a fall-lovers delight! We offer a low-key family atmosphere, with just the right elements.

You will find your favorite Minnesota Grown apples, Pleasant Valley Apple Pie, caramel apples, apple turnovers, apple brats, fresh apple cider, a HUGE assortment of pumpkins, fall and Christmas decor, gifts and more in the old barn gift shop. Bakery products are offered daily.

We invite you to enjoy our scenic location during regular business hours.

Weekdays

Daily activities include a kids korral, nature trail and picnic area. The kids korral is a hay pile play area with hobby horses and a vintage tractor — kids of all ages are welcome with adult supervision.

Weekdays is a relaxing time to enjoy the orchard.  Activities available every day include nature trail, farm animals, haypile, corn box, picnic area, our famous caramel apples, scones and turnovers, cookies and of course, apples and shopping!

Our apples are pre-picked but on weekends, you have the option to pick them yourself, in season, while supplies last.

Weekends Activities

Hayrides. A perfect trip to the orchard must include a hayride! Weekends beginning September 15 and running through the end of October. Hayrides are available from 11:00 pm – 5:00 pm, last approximately 20 minutes and take you through the orchard. Cost: TBD.

Pick-Your-Own Apples. Weekends we offer Pick-Your-Own apples on select varieties on Saturday and Sundays throughout the fall. Price for PYO apples is $2.50 per pound. We provide containers. Picking is on select varieties as the ripening schedule allows.

25th Anniversary Weekend. On September 15, 1993 we opened the doors to the sales room in the Barn and began selling apples. We are so grateful for everyone who has been a part of our story. Preliminary details of our celebratory events are below.

  • Kids Activity:10 am to noon. Hosted by the Karl Oscar Days Ambassador. Start your visit with a fun apple related activity! For kids pre-school through elementary.
  • Vendor Fair: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We’re all about celebrating community and we’ve invited friends and neighbors who do direct sales marketing to spend the day!  Lots of practical, unique and fun items will be available for purchase. (No rain date).
  • 25th Anniversary Celebration: 5 pm to 8 pm. You are invited to join us to celebrate this milestone with family, friends and neighbors. Music by Thea Ennen and Dave JaVue. Food available for purchase from Deutschland Meats of Lindstrom. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and celebrate with us!

Escape Room at the Orchard. September 22, 10 am to 1 pm. We are partnering with the Chisago Lakes Library to bring an escape room event to the orchard. Appropriate for elementary age kids and families. Additional Details: TBD

Music at the Orchard: Live music at the Orchard is always a delightful time. We have a great line-up of performers this year. Afternoons from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. No cover charge. Groups will feature classic, blue grass, old-time, gospel and country.

Hayrides to the Pumpkin Patch:  Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch and pick-your-own pumpkin on weekends beginning September 29 & 30 through the end of October, weather permitting.

October 7. Brat Feed and Old-Fashioned Pie Social, hosted by the Center City Park Committee. Join friends and neighbors at the orchard for a delicious apple brat and a piece of Pleasant Valley Apple Pie and support community organizations.  All proceeds will go to the event host. Hours 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

12 Days of Halloween: Spooktacular special activities beginning October 20 through Halloween.

November Barn Sale– November 1-til close of season. The wood stove gently warms the Appleshed, unique Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts are available along with all your fall favorites! Its the perfect time to stock up on apples and pies for the Thanksgiving Holidays. Hours: 10 am to 5:00 pm.

Christmas Barn Sale– Dates TBD. Celebrate Christmas all around! Unique, one-of-a kind items, sales on gourmet foods and of course our yummy pies and caramel apples! Great hostess gifts and last chance to stock up on your favorite apples and treats! Hours 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

No reservations are required for our activities, but if you have a large group or would like to plan a group event, please let us know.  We do not do weddings.

Picnic Area Guidelines

We love it that our customers enjoy the beautiful view from behind our barns, we do too! However, to ensure that our picnic area is available to all of our customers, we ask groups to limit their use of picnic tables to 30 minutes on weekends.
