Pleasant Valley Orchard is located near Taylors Falls, Minnesota, overlooking the scenic St. Croix Valley. Pleasant Valley Orchard’s pick-your-own strawberry season runs from mid-June through mid-July.  The fall apple orchard season featuring your favorite Minnesota Grown apples, begins Labor Day weekend.

Pleasant Valley Orchard offers a fun fall experience for the whole family! Situated as it is, the orchard offers sweeping views of the St. Croix Valley in full fall dress. You will enjoy the charm of our new apple shed and vintage barn. In addition to your favorite Minnesota Grown apples, we also offer many activities including pick-your-own weekends, hayrides, farm animals, kid's corral, nature trail, and picnic area with sweeping views of the St. Croix Valley.

This year we have been busy finishing our new apple shed. We are excited about the changes and new opportunities our new apple shed will provide. We know you will enjoy the expanded retail area, spacious windows and rustic details.

Winter activities at the orchard - from Jim the grower  People often ask me, "What do you do all winter?" Well, when final deliveries from the 2007 harvest have been completed I turn my attention to the 2008 growing season.  The most time consuming (and important) thing I do this time of year is prune the entire orchard.  I trim each tree to ensure fresh vigorous growth this spring and to open up the trees to sunlight and air movement.  My goal is to grow top quality nutritious fruit and diligent pruning is a must. Winter is also the time for learning.  I attend workshops with other growers where we learn from experts and each other how to do a better job growing fruit that is nutritious and delicious.  Bad weather days (as I write this the wind chill is -35F) find me in our new on-farm kitchen preparing to bring our baking equipment on line.  This fall we will be offering for the first time your favorite apple treats already baked!
