We’re in the shortest but sweetest season in Minnesota. Summer. This is what we long for during the long winter months. This is when we sit outside on a summer evening with friends and say, “It doesn’t get any better than this.” And mornings spent in the patch are a part of what makes summer so special!
This year, our pick-your-own strawberry season ended earlier than we would have liked or planned. Rainy mornings, steamy afternoons are not a friend to field ripened strawberries. We had a beautiful crop and many were able to enjoy it! We appreciate all the positive comments about picking strawberries at Pleasant Valley Orchard. We are grateful for your support.
But now, its time for everyone to turn the page! The Fourth of July is upon us, summer continues and soon we’ll be staring down Labor Day Weekend and heading into the Fall Apple Orchard Season.
I don’t know why, but I’ve always felt that when we get to the Fourth of July summer is half over, it’s not, but it feels like it. Maybe its because the days are getting shorter and we start accelerating all of the things we wanted to get done this summer.
We hope that you, your family and friends will enjoy all that there is to a Minnesota summer and come back and see us in the fall! That’s our plan!
